Hi, I’m Nicholas Renrab, and I’ve been a runner for as long as I can remember. From the early morning jogs before work to marathon training on the weekends, running has always been my passion. But there was one thing that constantly frustrated me: finding sunglasses that could keep up.

Like many of you guys, I spent years cycling through sunglasses that either didn’t fit right, slipped off when I picked up the pace, or simply couldn’t handle the long-distances. I wanted shades that didn’t just look good but were also designed to enhance my performance. As a result, our elite polarized running sunglasses were born. Designed specifically for runners like us - to block out glare, frames that stayed comfortably in place, and the durability to handle sweat, sun, and everything in between.

At 1990 Shades, we focus on building sunglasses specifically for performance runners like myself. We use lightweight yet durable TR-90 frames that can handle even the toughest conditions, whether you’re running a marathon or just hitting the trails on the weekend. Our polarized lenses cut through glare so you can see clearly, no matter how bright the sun gets. And we’ve designed each pair to stay securely in place, mile after mile.

But more than just performance, I wanted these sunglasses to reflect a style that runners can feel confident wearing beyond their workouts.
